  The NEW Bistro 29 reopened on March 12, 2016, and I am thankful to Denise and Sylvester Cullum for bringing it back to life. The atmosphere was classy, yet comfortable. I'd feel like Cinderella at the ball in a little black dress and heels, or my favorite black jeans, leather jacket and boots. The food was scrumptious, I had the Catfish dinner with the Collard Greens...perfection. Next time I am going try that beautiful steak and maybe some Hush Puppies. I watched as the young teenager seated next to me wolfed down a burger and when I asked him how it tasted, he smiled and shook his head up and down! The appetizers vary, I would like to taste the fried Chicken wings AND the fried pickles were a delicious surprise. If you get a date night, take your favorite person, the ambiance is conducive to a relaxing night of food fun and friendship.

  Bistro 29 was lacking in all areas to say the least. The food seemed to be prepared by an amateur with little to no imagination. Let me break it down.
  
  The fried pickles were distasteful.
  The French onion soup was served lukewarm.
  The entree dishes were sparse and extremely plain.
  
  It was actually quite embarrassing to see the kind of dishes they were serving. There is no way I would be proud of this restaurant if it was mine.
  This place wont last with the kind of food the are serving.
